Seems some people have been having problems with their DirecTV service. Some reports floating around say that the DirecTV Remote control is not working properly and their service is stuck on a single channel. When trying to reach customer service they found that finding that number is harder than finding a needle in a haystack. To help solve the inconvenience with finding help with customer service I have commented on the proper way to find your DirecTV customer service number.

It also helps when you are searching for a Customer service number that you spell the Service correctly as most people seemed to be searching for Direct TV …. You may want to take the time to look at your Sat box and maybe take a gander at the Dish you have tacked up somewhere to see what the name of the service is.

They have fixed this rather embarrassing and annoying glitch as of now. It is especially embarrassing since they just released their whole home dvr Playback service allowing you to play back from a single dvr in up to 15 rooms. In short Don’t panic just make sure you have spell checked yourself before panicking

I am really not sure about the true origins of this little Letter that’s floating around but it is amusing to say the least.

MOVING TO MEXICO
Dear Mr. President:
I’m planning to move my family and extended family into
Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.
We’re planning to simply walk across the border from the
U.S. Into Mexico , and we’ll need your help to make a few arrangements.
We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas,
Passports, immigration quotas and laws.

1.. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all

4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by
English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on
American culture and history.
6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one
Of the flag poles at their school.
7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both
Breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can
Get easy access to government services.
9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico , but, I
Don’t plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won’t make any special
Effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not
Get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every
Patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer..
11. I plan to fly the U.S. Flag from my house top, put U
S. Flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not
Want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying
Any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican
People to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family,
Or about the strain we might place on their economy.
14. I want to receive free food stamps.
15. Naturally, I’ll expect free rent subsidies.
16. I’ll need Income tax credits so although I don’t pay
Mexican Taxes, I’ll receive money from the government.
17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Gov’t pays
$4,500 to help me buy a new car.
18.. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into
The Mexican Social Security program so that I’ll get a monthly income in
Retirement.
I know this is an easy request because you already do
All these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. From Mexico . I am

Do these actors forever live with the Stigma of “hey didn’t you star in that commercial for ‘insert embarrassing product here’ ” ? I mean think about it would it interfere with your getting a date if people thought you were walking around with a raging case of herpes?

Women and the things they find amusing.

Lately I’ve been noticing that women think it is way too damn funny when someone gets hit in the testicles. I wonder if they realize just how much that actually hurts when it happens. I’m guessing they really don’t understand that it hurts like a Mofo.

Banks and Credit.

lately I’ve been checking on financing to see about moving from renting to buying a house. It’s not going well no matter how good my fico score is or not having negative items on my history. What does seem to matter is the banks are extremely scared to lend money at the moment. I find that almost amusing from the stand point that they were all just bailed out by the government and our taxes. For that bailout we have seen credit card rates get jacked all to hell and Foreclosure rates are still up while house purchases are still down and not rising.
So what is America supposed to do? I guess we just watch them give each other huge bonuses while I can’t even get a Credit card with the new fucked up rates. I am so far not impressed with what is going on.

Honestly I’m not seeing the Change unless he is talking about where everything seems to be going into the toilet. Healthcare has failed because no one tried to get on the same page. The democrats pretty much tried to jam their ideas down everyone throats and it didn’t work out once they didn’t have the votes to force it through. Honestly universal healthcare can’t be all bad most of the Euro countries and Canada Have it. We still over pay and have to deal with it cause there is no complaining you are generally stuck with which ever carrier that your employer decides is the best deal for him.

So I Finally managed to get the new Ubuntu installed and I have to say I am very impressed. I should be running my second work computer on Ubuntu but still not sure about the wireless support for it.

I will say that it is very nice for stability and has made finding apps for it a lot easier. I think Ubuntu could become as Mainstream as Windows if they could get past the stigma of it being a “Linux” operating system. To do this they would have to get more support from Hardware manufacturers and software developers. Once they were able to do that you would never hear well this game will not run on Linux so I have to use microsoft.

So here I am this morning trying to update my ubuntu to the newest version which would be 9.10 and it can’t update since it seems their servers are totally overloaded from the massive amount of people trying to upgrade at the same time.

I really hope they fix this soon as I am looking forward to the way they will be handling software installs and searches.

OK I won’t deny it I’ve seen the video and I felt dirty watching it once I was sure it was Ms. Andrews. There is a difference between getting paid money to pose nude but to have your privacy invaded is deplorable. I was just reading over her article she wrote for CNN addressing the slave trade that took place in The Colonies/The States up to and shortly after the civil war. While I will respect her opinion on this I will also say she is a complete twit. Most of the slaves that were brought to this country were sold into slavery by their own relatives and rival villages. Meaning they weren’t exactly torn from their homeland since they were already made slaves by their own people whether it be because they failed in some tribal battle or someone  was owed something and the person was taken in trade.

Her entire argument is that slavery needs more than an apology. What exactly would she like? Considering her family was one of the biggest shipper of said slaves in the first place. I can understand maybe she feels guilt and probably feels ashamed that her family had this hand in all this but you know what My suggestion to you Katrina Browne is to find a way to make amends in your own way don’t try to drag everyone else into it with you.

I don’t feel the government really owes the African Americans an apology. It was nothing except what is going on now to a lesser extent Cheap labor though at that time they managed to get the labor for the price of a few meals and a roof over the slaves heads. now People just hire border jumpers at substantially lower pay rates so they can save a few bucks.

I’m part American Indian, Cherokee to be exact where’s my fucking apology for the way my ancestors were treated. Where are the apologies for the slaughter of entire nations  committed by the US government in the name of keeping the peace when it was really happening to steal the land. Where’s the Apologies to the families that have suffered in squalor for hundreds of years because the government let them have some land that was not fertile and had no way to raise crops or animals. Where’s the Apologies for leaving entire Indian nations on the brink of starvation.

I know Some people are going to come across with Oh that was war….no that was genocide. Others will call me racist….well if racist means that I am opinionated and my opinions don’t agree with some left wing fruitcake then by all means I’m a racist.
